With the valuable contribution of each individual of our family, we achieved record milestone both technically as well as financially in the last financial year 2021-22. The goal oriented determined approach could not even be distracted by the pandemic restrictions and unprecedented natural disasters in our work place. I look forward to your support and dedication for fulfilling our vision to supply uninterrupted quality power to the people of Odisha. In the second quarter of this financial year we have made significant addition to the system. 5 Nos of Grid substations have been charged along with charging of 5 Power Transformers at existing sub-stations and 3 Nos of LILO lines. We could add 680 MVA transformation capacity and 75 Ckt KM line to our system. Cumulatively we have reached at 184 as regard to Grids and 24800 MVA, 16000 Ckt KM as regard to transformation capacity and transmission line respectively.

Apart from the core business of transmission, we are implementing many state & central funded schemes towards infrastructure developments of electricity & telecom. Due to our excellent performance, Govt. has been entrusting more responsibilities to us for the development of Odisha Power sector. 1800 Cr has been sanctioned for construction of 99Nos of 33/11 kV primary substations. I urge all the team members of ODSSP Project management Unit to work relentlessly for timely completion of these primary substations

This sector has always been dynamic and challenging. In the coming years, there will be accelerated growth of renewal energy integration to our system. We have to be extra vigil and prepared in the changing constituents of our transmission system.

OPTCL is on the road of transformation in implementing some of the flagship online projects like; D3, STAMS, SANJOG, e-Office, ERP etc. which are need of the hour. Technology driven working environment will increase our output and lessen our work pressure. I request all the employees to make optimum use of the technology in their office work. We will also be incentivising the units which will have maximum usage of these systems.

Lastly, I would request all the employees to be well aware regarding latest rules/technologies/ developments as regard to their discipline.
